Over 100,000 tourists have arrived in the country in the month of October alone.
According to data by the Department of Immigration, Nepal welcomed a total of 117,306 tourists in October.
According to statistics by the Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 809,678 tourists have visited the country in the first ten months of this year (Jan-Oct 2023).
In 2022, tourists arrivals in the month of October was 88,582 while total number of tourist arrivals in the first 10 months were 451,988.
This recuperation in tourist inflow numbers can be hoped to give momentum to the tourism sector’s recovery which was disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
