Aiming to bolster foreign investment in Nepal, the Nepal Impact Investment Forum 2025 is set to begin today in Kathmandu. The event was officially announced during a press briefing held in the capital on Monday.

Now in its second edition, the three-day forum will run from June 3 to 5, bringing together 14 institutions from the development finance and impact investment sectors—up from eight institutions that participated in the inaugural event last year.

This year’s forum introduces a new dimension with the inclusion of the alternative investment industry, expanding the platform’s scope to reflect emerging global investment trends. The event is being hosted by Invest for Impact Nepal, in collaboration with the Nepal Bankers’ Association and the Nepal Private Equity Association.

Designed as a strategic platform, the forum seeks to connect international investors with Nepal’s investment landscape. It facilitates direct engagement with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local stakeholders, offering a space to explore viable investment projects and long-term opportunities. The event allows for one-on-one meetings where private meetings can be scheduled for June 4th from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, allowing attendees to discuss projects, proposals, or partnership ideas in a focused environment.

On the final day, delegates will take part in field visits, offering first hand exposure to impactful projects and a deeper understanding of how investments are driving meaningful change across Nepal.

More than just a networking event, the forum aims to strengthen partnerships, align investment goals with Nepal’s national priorities, and channel foreign capital into high-impact sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and entrepreneurship.

Fiscal Year

Nepal’s fiscal year runs from 16th July (ongoing year) to 15th July (following year).
