Nepal Investment Mega Bank (NIMB) has unveiled the upgraded version of ‘NIMB Smart Loan’, a new mobile loan function available on the NIMB Smart mobile banking app, as part of a push towards financial inclusion and accessibility. Under the feature, borrowers can directly avail loans up to NRs 500,000 without the need for any collateral, paperwork, or bank visits.
According to the bank, there is an easy registration process on the NIMB Smart App for customers through email address verification. The bank will decide eligibility based on factors such as salary account, regular transactions, no pending loan with the bank, and loan repayment behaviour.
As per the loan limit set by the bank, eligible account holders can enjoy the loan facility individually. There are also flexible options for repayment from 1 month to up to 36 months, including a prepayment facility.
