Avasar Equity announces investment in Rara Digital Lab

The investment is expected to support Rara and its subsidiaries in client acquisition, market expansion, product development and enhancement.

Avasar Equity, a private equity fund, has signed an investment agreement with Rara Digital Lab, a software design and development company based in Lalitpur.

Rara, along with its subsidiaries—BIC Technology, Gokyo Labs and Neosys Technology — offers software products and solutions to clients both in Nepal and internationally, focusing on the management of financial transactions.

The investment, through Avasar’s diversified fund, will support the company and its subsidiaries in acquiring new clients, expanding into new markets, and enhancing product development, says Avasar Equity in its LinkedIn post.

Rara, along with its subsidiaries, has introduced a range of products, including:

Sumo Ledger: A real-time transaction management system designed to handle high volumes for banks, financial institutions, remittance services, and fintech companies.

Tigg: A cloud-based accounting solution tailored specifically for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Gokyo Reconciler: A financial reconciliation software aimed at banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and insurance providers.

Myra: A comprehensive cloud-based core banking system developed for savings and credit cooperative societies (SACCOS).
