The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has established an SME Development Centre, which will work in the development of micro, cottage, small and medium enterprise.
The centre will be focusing on providing skills, essential training, and introducing new technologies required for operating businesses, said FNCCI in a press release. Additionally, it aims to support market management, financial management and business strategy to empower MSME entrepreneurs.
Moreover, the centre will be providing technical advice and equipment to enhance the production capacity and its quality. It will also assist in adopting modern technologies, their usage, and improvements.
Furthermore, the centre will facilitate trade fairs, exhibitions and other trade promotion events in domestic and international markets to promote MSMEs. Such activities are expected to facilitate market expansion by helping deliver produced goods to niche markets.
The centre will also offer consulting services for business operations, management, production and disaster management. Entrepreneurs will also get guidance on resolving business related issues, and legal advice.
Business registration, obtaining licences, understanding taxation and complying with government regulation are other available assistance.
The centre will also work on creating opportunities for networking, experience sharing, partnerships and collaboration to encourage innovation, creation of new ideas, competitiveness and exploration of new business opportunities.
National Planning Commission Secretary Madhu Marasini; Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Secretary Krishna Raut; and FNCCI President Chandra Praskash Dhakal jointly inaugurated the centre on Monday.
