Shikshya.org launches “Agri Entrepreneurship 1.0” course

With 4 modules designed to be completed in 5 hours including the final hour on legal considerations, networking, and certification, the course is available in English and Nepali, with subtitles in both languages.

Shikshya.org, an online educational platform, has launched a course on agri-entrepreneurship — “Agri Entrepreneurship 1.0”.

With 351 students already enrolled, the self-paced course is tailored to individuals interested in integrating entrepreneurial principles in crop production, animal husbandry, and agri-business management through innovative approaches. The course aims to promote green marketplaces, climate-friendly agri-food systems, and food security in Karnali Province.

The course is structured to cover the following learning objectives:

  • Understand the current state of entrepreneurship in Nepal.
  • Explore Nepal’s agriculture sector and its present status.
  • Recognize the importance of combining traditional and modern technical knowledge and its current application.
  • Identify opportunities in agri-entrepreneurship in Nepal with a focus on technology.
  • Gain insights into entrepreneurs’ perspectives on agriculture.

 

With 4 modules designed to be completed in 5 hours including the final hour on legal considerations, networking, and certification, the course is available in English and Nepali, with subtitles in both languages. 

The course requires no prior knowledge or experience for enrolment.

The program is a part of the “Business Incubation for Strengthened Local Agri-food System in Karnali” project, implemented by Youth Innovation Lab and Welthungerhilfe under GIZ’s GRAPE program.
