The Aadhyanta Accelerator Programme has officially launched its second cohort, marking a step forward in fostering high-growth potential businesses across various sectors in the Koshi Province.

After completing its selection process, 30 promising enterprises have been chosen from a pool of 160 applicants, demonstrating the program’s expanding reach. The first cohort of the programme attracted 65 applicants.

The Selection Committee, comprising members from Aadhyanta Fund Management, a Nepal-based fund management company and Sahaj, convened recently to finalise the list of selected companies, says Aadhyanta.

What is an accelerator program?

An accelerator program supports enterprises in growing and developing their businesses by offering resources like mentorship, funding, and networking opportunities.

This year’s applicants span diverse sectors, including Tourism, IT, Agro-processing, Dairy, Tea, and Coffee, reflecting a growing interest and entrepreneurial spirit within the Koshi Province. The diverse range of selected businesses is expected to drive significant economic growth and innovation in the region.

Aadhyanta Accelerator Programme Koshi II aims to support these enterprises as they develop and scale their operations. The full list of selected companies will be published soon, says its LinkedIn post.

Sahaj, a key partner in this initiative, is a bilateral project backed by the Governments of Switzerland and Nepal. It is implemented by a consortium led by Swisscontact, alongside the Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED), and is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The programme focuses on Koshi Province.
